The following table provides access to surveys, presentations, and schematics related to the Bush-Wellborn intersection improvement project.

The following table provides access to surveys, presentations, and schematics related to the Bush-Wellborn intersection improvement project.

These documents are organized into two categories:

Pre-funding (before 2023):
This section includes tasks and documents completed prior to the project’s full funding. These historical documents provide context and reference to earlier phases of the project. Please note that since these documents were developed, additional information has been gathered, and the project plans have evolved.

Post-funding (after 2023):
This section contains documents developed after the project received full funding in 2023. These reports may be marked as “historical reference” or “current information.” Even though some of these materials are recent, the project has seen rapid development, and new insights continue to shape the direction of the work.

Survey

Pre-Funding

A survey was conducted from April 2017 to July 2017, and over 4,100 survey responses were analyzed. The purpose of the survey was to gain an understanding about:

  • Concerns about the existing intersection
  • The importance of construction or design features in any future intersection improvements
  • Change in travel habits during construction
  • Priority of elements throughout the construction process
  • Specific suggestions for future intersection design and construction process.

Post-Funding

We are conducting a new survey to better understand traveler needs in the Bryan-College Station community and how to mitigate the construction effects associated with the Bush-Wellborn intersection improvement project.

Please take a quick 10-minute survey to share your valuable insights.

Schematics

Pre-Funding – Intersection schematic – 2008

Pre-Funding – George Bush Cross-Section – 2008

Pre-Funding – Wellborn Cross-Section – 2008

Post-Funding

TxDOT is working towards finalizing a design and we hope to show it to you by early 2025.
