The intersection of Wellborn Road (FM 2154) and George Bush Drive (FM 2347) in College Station, Texas, plays a vital role in the connectivity and accessibility between the Bryan-College Station and Texas A&M University communities.

Bush-Wellborn Crossing Facts

The intersection has many users – commuters, large trucks, buses, special event participants, bicyclists, pedestrians and trains on the Union Pacific Railroad line. The existing intersection, which has not been improved in more than 20 years, is no longer able to efficiently handle the growing number of travelers.

Bush-Wellborn Crossing Facts

The Bush-Wellborn Crossing (BWX) project is designed to significantly improve the mobility and safety of this important intersection, while minimizing disruption to nearby neighborhoods, businesses, Texas A&M and commuters during the construction process.
