We’re building The Project!

The Bush-Wellborn Crossing (BWX) project is fully funded. Construction was scheduled to begin in Spring 2026, but due to additional coordination with various agencies and stakeholders, construction is now anticipated to start in late 2027. Scroll to see what the project design may look like.

LEARN HOW WE ARE USING YOUR FEEDBACK

The Texas A&M Transportation Institute is working with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to better understand traveler needs through and around the Bush-Wellborn intersection. TxDOT will begin construction on a new interchange in a few years, and we want to identify ways to help you deal with the traffic problems that will come from the construction.
